Job Title: Respite Provider (Elk Mound)
Hours: 4–6 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $14.13/hour
Schedule: 1–2 days per week, preferably Fridays; after-school hours

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, active, and patient respite provider to support a young person in the Elk Mound area. This position involves after-school pickup and spending 1–2 hours together engaging in meaningful, enjoyable activities. The goal is to provide a supportive, calm, and structured environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Pick up from school and provide supervision for 1–2 hours after school.
  • Engage in hands-on, active, or creative activities based on his interests.
  • Participate in outdoor activities such as biking, fishing, or using the YMCA pass.
  • Provide a structured, calm environment with low sensory overload.

About Him:
Interests:
  • Very athletic; enjoys physical activity and “work”-type tasks.
  • Hands-on activities, arts and crafts, building projects.
  • Outdoorsy—BMX biking, fishing, exploring.
  • Has a family YMCA membership.
  • Curious and currently very interested in Mexican culture.

Dislikes / Sensitivities:
  • Big crowds, loud/noisy environments, or chaotic spaces.
  • Certain foods (specifics can be discussed during onboarding).

What We’re Looking For:
  • Someone dependable, calm, and patient.
  • Knowledgeable about the outdoors, sports, and hands-on activities.
  • Familiarity with or interest in Mexican culture is a plus.
  • Experience working with youth or respite care is helpful but not required.
